NCL Launches New Wave Cruising

F3 ships to feature the most innovative living space at sea

London, 19 May 2008… NCL is continuing to blaze the innovation trail with the design of staterooms for its new generation ‘F3‘ ships.

“We have thrown away the rule book with the design of F3 and are revealing the very fi rst element with our New Wave staterooms. Gone are the regimented typical designs and in place are sleek staterooms that are totally outside the box, designed for the needs of tomorrow’s guests,” says Colin Veitch, NCL’s president and CEO.

NCL’s F3 ships will launch in 2010, when guests will be able to indulge in the modern and chic experience of its New Wave staterooms. Its distinctive design element is showcased in curved walls, sophisticated earthtone palettes complimented with a splash of colour and rich, dark wood. Living space has also been maximised with a bathroom that is completely unique, featuring a separate shower stall, separate WC and a modern vanity top sink.

NCL’s recent Freestyle 2.0 enhancements are also included, meaning guests will benefi t from upgraded bedding, Elemis bathroom products and MP3 connectivity upon request. Balcony and deluxe staterooms have bathrobes, a fresh-baked cookie on the last night of cruise, an escort to the stateroom on embarkation day and priority restaurant reservation.

In addition to this, guests will still be able to enjoy NCL’s Freestyle Cruising concept which includes a choice of up to 12 restaurants, relaxed dress code and no set dining times. There are also a selection of speciality bars and lounges, on board kids’ clubs and sports facilities including basketball and tennis courts. 6731.06.08

The two 150,000-ton F3 ships will accommodate up to 4,200 passengers, and all of its outside staterooms coming complete with private balcony.
