NCL launches 2008 – 2009 Cruise & Stay Holidays brochure – its biggest ever programme for the UK market |
London, 10 August 2007… Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) unveiled its latest brochure today featuring cruises aboard 11 contemporary ships in Europe, the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawai`i, North and South America.
And once again the line is responding to the UK’s cruise aficionados demand for European cruising with its biggest ever deployment this side of the Atlantic. The 2008 Europe programme showcases three big, luxurious Jewel-class ships sailing 20 itineraries, including no-fly cruises from Dover and Southampton, specially created with the UK market in mind. Keen pricing leads in at £199 per person for a 2 night minicruise; £699 pp for a 7 night Western Mediterranean fly-cruise and just £249 child sharing price on a 13 night cruise around the British Isles.
But it’s not just in Europe where NCL is making waves. The latest brochure maintains NCL’s reputation for innovation with exciting new itineraries, new ports, new ships and more ‘Extend your Stay’ options than ever. Brochure highlights include:
NCL’s biggest ever deployment in the Caribbean and North America with 22 amazing ports of call, seven beautiful ships and 14 different itineraries to dream islands, resorts and cities. A 7 night Western Caribbean fly-cruise starts at just £799 pp.
New ships. Norwegian Gem makes her debut in October 2007 and cruises in Europe in summer 2008, where she’s joined by the new Norwegian Jade, currently sailing as Pride of Hawai`i.
The youngest fleet in Alaska with three ships sailing from Seattle or Vancouver and a lead in price of just £1299 pp on all three 9 night fly-cruise itineraries. Plus, Alaska and the Canadian Rockies Cruise & Tour holidays – a scenic spectacular – 13 nights from £1599 pp.
New ports of call. As NCL says, the ports they pick have to be good or their guests would never get off the ship. So, the new brochure features 38 ports that weren’t included in the 2007 – 2008 programme. These include Alesund and Honningsvag in Norway; Belfast and Dublin; Basseterre and Roatán in the Caribbean; Reykjavik in Iceland and San Francisco. Many are maiden ports of call for the company and offer regular NCL cruisers new sights and experiences ashore.
New itineraries.
Eastern Caribbean Discovery – 13 night Cruise & Stay aboard Norwegian Jade from £1499 pp with two nights in New York.
Western Caribbean Cocktail – 14 night Cruise & Stay aboard Norwegian Jade from £1549 pp with two nights in New York.
Three new Canada and New England itineraries, perfectly timed for the autumn so that guests can enjoy the Fall foliage colours in such beautiful ports as Bar Harbor, Maine; Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts; Halifax, Nova Scotia and Newport, Rhode Island; as well as visit great cities like Boston and Quebec City. Prices start at £1199 pp for a Boston, Canada & New England 9 night flycruise aboard Norwegian Dream.
San Francisco & the Mexican Riviera – 13 night fly-cruise aboard Norwegian Sun from £1449 pp, all the way down to glamorous Acapulco Bay.
New ‘Extend your Stay’ packages, offering guests an extra dimension to their cruise holiday and the chance to see and do more. These include:
Florida Gulf Coast Self-Drive with stays in Clearwater Beach, Naples and Miami – six nights from £329 pp.
Toronto Independent Stopover – three nights from £295 pp, including a city tour and Niagara Falls excursion.
Honolulu, three night pre- or post-Hawai`i cruise stays in a choice of four hotels from £199 pp.
Launching the new brochure, Francis Riley, NCL’s Vice President International Business Development, commented, “We are entering one of the most exciting periods in the history of NCL and I truly believe that we can now offer our guests a unique cruise holiday. When we launch Norwegian Gem in October this year we will have the youngest fleet afloat of any other cruise line with no fewer than nine new ships built in the past 10 years. We also have the cruise industry’s only inter-island Hawaiian cruise itineraries and, of course, we have NCL Freestyle Cruising®, the most flexible, fun and customisable holiday at sea, where our guests are free to whatever.”
