NCL LAUNCHES BIGGEST BROCHURE TO DATE WITH EVEN MORE FOR 2007 -
London, 01 December 2006…?NCL is chalking up another first this December by launching its third edition 2007-2008 Cruise and Stay Holidays brochure on the same day it launches its new ship, Norwegian Pearl. This new brochure, which contains even more cruises and options than ever before, will also be the first to debut the new NCL branding which is set to roll out across the fleet during 2007.
The new brochure will look and sound unlike anything that NCL has ever released before, thanks to the innovative new branding. Especially designed to encapsulate the ethos of NCL Freestyle Cruising®, the third edition brochure will take on a more conversational tone and will put an emphasis on the cruise experience itself as well as the destinations visited.
The third edition brochure will feature new cruise itineraries for Norwegian Pearl, which makes its debut on 1 December, and her sister ship, Norwegian Gem, which joins the fleet in late 2007.
Francis Riley, General Manager NCL UK, commented, “This is a truly exciting time of year with the launch of Norwegian Pearl, the start of the 2007 Sale of all Sails campaign, the re-launch of our website www.ncl.co.uk and the launch of this third edition of the 2007/8 Freestyle Cruising brochure. This is our biggest brochure to date and we have filled it with more cruising options than ever before. We’ve added fly-drive options in Canada and Washington to link into our cruise departures in Alaska and from New York as well as adding Barbados as a holiday extension for the Caribbean. Sales for 2007 are building nicely and we hope with the launch of this new brochure they can only get stronger. We are delighted to be able to launch this new brochure alongside the launch of our refreshing new branding and our newest ship.”
New brochure highlights of the third edition include:
• Pre-paid Service Charge – this can now be pre-paid before your customers go on their holiday
• Norwegian Gem debuts in Europe – four fabulous European itineraries on our brand new ship, including Mediterranean & Atlantic Isles cruise, calling at Morocco and the Canary Islands.
• South to the Mediterranean – new cruise from Dover to Barcelona aboard Norwegian Dream.
• Transatlantic Gem – from Barcelona to Boston aboard Norwegian Gem.
• Cruise Alaska, save £200 per person – great savings on selected cruises in July, August and September 2007, flying on our direct charter flights from Gatwick or Manchester to Vancouver, or Gatwick to Calgary.
Also new for 2007 are:
• New: 16, 18 and 20-night transatlantic crossings onboard Norwegian Dream (to and from Dover) and Norwegian Jewel
• New: Norwegian Gem sailing year round out of New York, in addition to Norwegian Dawn and Norwegian Spirit
• New: 3-nights’ stay in Miami with car hire
• New: 4-night Toronto & Niagara Falls coach tour
• New: 4 nights pre-cruise in Kahului with car hire
• New: 3 nights pre- or post-cruise in Key West with car hire
• New: Free National Express coach transfer from selected city centres
• New: 3 or 7 nights in Barbados in a range of all-inclusive resorts
• New: 7 nights in Orlando with or without car hire
• New: 3 nights in Los Angeles with or without car hire
• New: 7 night self-drive tour from the Pacific Ocean to the Canadian Rockies
• New: 2 night independent excursion to Washington with city sightseeing
In addition to this NCL has looked at the pricing structure and has introduced Cruise-Only pricing that is also new for 2007. This allows guests to completely tailor-make their cruise holiday, or to use their accumulated frequent flyer rewards.
NCL’s third edition programme features cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Hawai’i as well as Transatlantic crossings. The European programme is particularly popular with the UK market.
After the success of NCL’s first full season in Europe in 2006 the cruise line is returning to the Mediterranean with Norwegian Jewel and the Baltics out of Dover with Norwegian Dream. These two ships will also be joined in October 2007 by Norwegian Gem which will be offering a series of cruises in the Mediterranean before heading over to New York to embark on 11, 14 and 15 night cruises to the Caribbean.
The NCL Hawai’i programme is unique to the cruise industry and throughout 2007 the cruise line will continue to dominate the Hawaiian market with four ships offering cruises around the islands. NCL is the only cruise line with US-flagged ships, meaning they do not have to sail into international waters, allowing the NCL America fleet to provide guests with unrivalled experiences cruising around these dramatic coastlines with over 100 hours in port. And for those looking for a bit of adventure Norwegian Sun remains non-US-flagged, giving guests the opportunity to stop off at Fanning Island in the Pacific.
