NCL NAMES NEW REGIONAL SALES MANAGER
FOR SCOTLAND AND IRELAND

London, 19 April, 2004: Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the Freestyle Cruising specialist, today announced the appointment of Alan Cross as the new regional sales manager for Scotland and Ireland. Alan will be responsible for promoting the innovative and leading brands of both NCL and Orient Lines to travel agents and tour operators within the region. He will report directly to NCL’s national sales manager, Nick Wilkinson.

Alan has over twenty-five years experience in the travel industry spanning retail, airline reservation systems, tour operating, publishing, advertising, information distribution and hotel booking engines. Alan has worked both in the UK and mainland Europe and is returning to his native Scotland after living in London for the past 10 years. As the first full time individual responsible for Ireland he will be in charge of supporting the travel industry in order to achieve mutual business goals.

Stephen Park, General Manager of NCL says; ‘’We are delighted that Alan has joined the team. These are exciting times as cruising continues to be a growing market and the idea of Freestyle Cruising seems to have really captured the imagination of the agent. Alan brings with him a wealth of experience that will help to drive the NCL and Orient Lines brand names forward in both Scotland and Ireland and making them aware as to what makes the Freestyle Cruising experience so unique.’’
