MARK PERSAD JOINS NCL AS SENIOR MARKETING MANAGER

6 April, 2004: Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the Freestyle Cruising specialist, has today announced the appointment of Mark Persad as Senior Marketing Manager. Mark joins the new NCL senior management team, from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, in order to assist in the growth and development of the NCL and Orient Lines’ brand profile in the UK market.

Reporting directly to UK General Manager, Stephen Park, Mark will be responsible for assisting the UK-based international sales and marketing teams via the implementation of a strategic and tactical marketing plan designed to address trade and consumer audiences in both the UK and Ireland. He will also focus on building on the existing strength of the NCL Freestyle Cruising concept and developing the Orient Lines brand name.

Mark has worked as Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Travel Industry Marketing Manager since 1998. Prior to that he worked for Lunn Poly Limited from 1993. Mark will be responsible for developing a long-term marketing strategy and creating a compelling brand strategy to complement the NCL and Orient Lines brand names.
