What a wonderful trip

What a wonderful trip. I am new to cruising and was not looking to really enjoy it. But what a surprise I had the accommodation was a balcony suite. It was superb, cosy and very spacious. The cabin staff were a joy and really cared for us. As for the food well it was first class. Anyone who complains about the food & service are surely very sad indeed. Entertainment & trips were really good. I can say that I will return to NCL Freestyle it was a holiday of a lifetime. Thank you Captain & all your excellent crew.

From rock and roll to scotch on the rocks

This was a voyage I dreamt of all my life. Look at a world map and who would not admit to being excited about travelling round the tip of South America in a luxury liner? From the first breathtaking glimpse of Norwegian Sun in Buenos Aires, till our fond farewell in Santiago, our cruise was everything we hoped it would be, and more. Our spacious stateroom had a blissfully comfortable bed, en suite with shower, lounge area, and our own private balcony. The Freestyle choice of menus and venues allowed us to eat somewhere different most nights, and mealtimes were whenever we chose to have them. From rock and roll to scotch on the rocks, from rock climbing to hot rock therapy, there were facilities to suit everyone, including stage productions to rival London's West End. But, for us, stargazing under the clear night skies of the southern hemisphere remains a uniquely magical highlight.

My memories of the voyage are a technicolour kaleidoscope of elegant interiors, vast open seascapes, rugged coastlines, viewing the Beagle channel's majestic glaciers, gliding through tranquil Chilean fjords, and waking up to new and fascinating ports. Our trips ashore were an authentic taste of the cultures, landscapes and wildlife of each region, admitting us to a world of turquoise lakes, snow-capped volcanoes, colourful village markets, llamas and penguin colonies. And at the end of each excursion, we knew that Norwegian Sun would be waiting to welcome us home - and to our next adventure.

Every port had something new and different to see

This was a small ship which made it easy to get to know other travellers as well as the crew and it was like a small village. Although we had cruised the Caribbean and Alaska, this was so different in that every port of call had someting new to see and do from Chile, Falklands, Uruguay, and Argentina. The variety of sights on land and sea was amazing and it was by far the best cruise we have done.

The scenery was incredible

I have taken several NCL cruises, however my favourite is probably South America and Patagonia, Santiago to Buenos Aires. The ports of call were interesting with excellent tours. The scenery was incredible and I was thrilled to be able to visit the Falkland Islands. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to visit such wonderful places.

So much entertainment we just didnt have time to see it all

First ever cruise and we chose to go with ncl on the Norwegian Star to the Mexican Riviera.Having never cruised before we didnt know what to expect and from the minute we boarded the ship we knew we were in for a good time.We found the crew so friendly nothing seemed to much trouble and we had booked a balcony state room and i was imperssed with the cleansiness we had change of towls everyday and loved the cute animal we had left on our bed every night with chocs.

So much entertainment we just didnt have time to see it all as well as the organised trips and in the evening we relaxed after dinner with drinks in the many lounges and bars.We tried as many as the restaurants as we could loved the versailles, Endless Summer, Le Bistro, and Cagney;s Steak house we had really good fun with the waiters. We were so impressed that we are rebooking with friends who now want to go .The only bad side we found was we didnt want to get of the boat to go home .well done ncl we were defintly impressed.

Loved almost every minute

Booked last minute (other travel plans failed) and loved almost every minute. Almost because having booked very good value cabin we joked that it would be the box-room.... it was... full of boxes. Long story but eventually all sorted out. Everything else .. food, crew, itinerary all excellent and we shall probably use you again.
