Got the bug
My friends and family went on a 2 day cruise on the Norwegian Jade for my 50th Birthday to Le Harve. I have to say it couldn't have been better from start to finish. Some of my friends had never cruised before but have now got the bug. Hopefully this will be a yearly event with our group growing bigger every year.

Lots to do
NCL was the NCL Jewel. I went on NCL Gem from Rotterdam to Dover, Dover to Amsterdam to Dover. The ship was realy nice, all the Jewel class ship are nice, but this on had a bowling alley on it. The atriam was spectacular, rooms were nice. Lots to do water slide, pool, spa, all kind of food all day and the staff were frendley and helpful the go out way to sort out any problems. I like the decore around the ship as well as the design on the hull Gem disgin fot the Gem. NCL has nice sips.

Fantastic value for money
I went on a mini cruise to Amsterdam with a few friends and had a fantastic time. It is a great way to experience the ship and is fantastic value for money. It was for my birthday and was definately one to remember. The staff on board were very good and although it was only a mini cruise, they made every effort to make it special.

We were amazed
We were lucky enough to join the mini cruise which launched Norwegian Jewel. We travelled down to Dover to board her for our 2 night trip to Amsterdam and back. As this was our first ever cruise we were amazed at the size of her and at how easy it was to get lost on board. One good thing I particularly liked about this ship was the carpets along the cabin decks. All the fish were swimming towards the front and this was a great help when entering the cabin decks as to knowing which way was which. Food was good and plentiful in the buffet. Tried one of the restaurants the one evening and enjoyed that also. We obviously enjoyed the cruising lifestyle because we have done 5 more cruises since that 'taster'.

We will never forget our Birthday treat
This was a mother & daughter weekend, we left Dover on a cold & wet week-end waving good bye to my husband, this was my daughters 1st cruise and the 1st time she had ever left her 3 children. She soon got in the swing of things, my legs were aching because she wanted to see every part of the ship. When we went to the garden cafe she did not know where to start first a mum who could help her self instead of having to cook. Saturday evening we dressed our selfs up and went to the main restaurant had a delightful meal then after went to a show after that nightclubing went to bed about 2am, next morning after breakfast we walked into Amsterdam shopping and went on a boat sightseeing. On our last evening on the ship we lived it up again only to arrive back to Dover to become Wifes and Mothers again, we will not forget our 40 and 60 birthday treat. Well done NCL you did it again.

Best honeymoon ever!
We are both in our 50's, for me it was waiting for the right person... It caused me a heart attack, stress of family, moving homes, responsibility of children, whatever! Wedding on 21 June(the longest day) followed by honeymoon in Paris. Dinner up Eiffel Tower, Seine cruise, Moulin Rouge. You name it, we booked it! The wife fell over and broke her leg. Wedding in plaster, up the chair lift in registry office, not as she had envisaged. Left Ebbsfleet next day on Eurostar at 08.00. Back at Ebbsfleet at 08pm. Thought I was having another heart attack! Honeymoon in hospital. Anyway, decided to make it up to wife with a mini cruise to Amsterdam. Your staff were fantastic. Upgraded to owners suite. Queried with porter but addressed letter to myself on table. We just laughed and photographed everything to send to family (even Bathroom). Best honeymoon ever! Really appreciated after all our troubles -thank you NCL

Like two kids in a sweet shop
We had already booked our first cruise with another cruise line and as we were a little concerned that we not like cruising our travel agent told us that the Norwegian Gem was coming into Dover next month and was going on a short break cruise to Amsterdam so we booked a mini suite. On the night before sailing we watched the fireworks as Dover welcomed NCL. Saturday we boarded like two kids in a sweet shop. Our suite was fantastic the ship could not be faulted, had some funny experiences with the staff as they were new to the ship they were getting lost as well but could not have been treated better by them. The food and the fact there was so much of it was great. Thanks to NCL it left us wanting more. Since this cruise we have been on two more cruises with you and have two more booked with NCL for 2009. PS. We did go with the other cruise line but we prefer freestyle dining.
