How do I book shore excursions?

Once you’ve booked your cruise, click on the “Ready to pre-book your Shore Excursions” button on the right hand side of this page.

Then click on “Log In to My NCL”. Login using your username and password, or if you are a new user, create an account.

Once you’re logged in, you should see a summary of your booked cruise(s). Click the button for “Shore Excursions”. If this button is not clickable, you may need to wait until at least 60 days prior to you cruise date. Once you click through to the Shore Excursions page, you should see each port offering Shore Excursions for every day of your cruise itinerary. Click through each port city to find out more information and pre-book excursions for each guest travelling.

Grand Circle Island Tour

Get to know Oahu on this all-day tour that covers 120 miles of the top sightseeing spots which even includes lunch. You'll circle the entire island, beginning with a drive past world-famous Diamond Head Crater. Visit Sandy Beach, a favorite for body surfers and then continue to the North Shore, home to the most celebrated surfing zones in the world, such as Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and the spectacular Banzai Pipeline. Finally, stop at the Dole Plantation where you can visit the store, sample pineapple juice, and stroll through the pineapple variety garden. After departing the pier, drive directly to Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center. Following a short orientation, a motor launch will take you to the memorial, which straddles the hull of the USS Arizona. This is the final resting place for many of the crewmen killed on December 7, 1941. Enjoy a stop at the statue of the great ruler, King Kamehameha. See Iolani Palace, the residence of Hawaii's monarchy, and Kawaiahao, Hawaii's oldest church, as well as Washington Place, once home to Queen Liliuokalani. Your tour concludes with a drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, in the crater of an extinct volcano. Celebrate the honor, valor and courage of the World War II US servicemen on this special tour. This nostalgic journey takes you to the two places that marked the beginning and the end of the war for the United States - Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri. At the site of Pearl Harbor, visit the Arizona Memorial where the remains of the USS Arizona lie silent beneath the waves. The 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor will unfold in detailed narrations and photos. From here you'll travel across the Ford Island Bridge to the historic USS Missouri battleship, nicknamed the 'Mighty Mo.' Explore the passages, rooms and corridors on a self-guided tour. Note: This tour is only available for guests with flights after 6:00 pm. Guests are responsible for ensuring their debarkation tours are compatible with their flight departure times. Explore Oahu's Famous North Shore

Upon disembarkation of your cruise ship, proceed to the designated tour bus to commence your tour of Oahu's North Shore and surrounding landscape. Your tour will take you through pineapple and sugar cane fields to the north side of the Island of Oahu. Here you'll view the island's famous surfing beaches such as Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Banzai Pipeline before continuing on along beautiful coastline to the other side of the Ko'olau mountain range. You'll see shrimp farms, Chinaman's Hat, and then make a stop at the Mac Nut Farm. Finally you'll have a 30 minute visit at Byodo Temple on your way back to the airport. Volcanoes National Park

Explore Volcanoes National Park and learn about Hawaii's Goddess of Fire, Madame Pele, as you drive along the crater's rim as allowed by park rangers; due to activity, parts may be closed. Standing at just over 4,000 feet, Kilauea is not the tallest volcano on the Big Island, but it's certainly the most active. Pass the Halemaumau Fire Pit and the Kilauea Iki Crater before stopping at the Thurston Lava Tube, where a short walk gives you the opportunity for an up-close view of an extinct lava tube. This tour also visits the Hawaii Volcano Observatory and Jaggar Museum. Finally, end your day with a visit to Big Island Candies where you can sample the tasty treats and take some home. Note: While at Volcanoes National Park, you won't see molten lava. Thurston Lava Tube is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven pathways and steps. An additional optional shopping stop may be provided.

See Earth's most geologically active environment, the Kilauea Volcano, on a thrilling helicopter ride. This remarkable 45-minute flightseeing tour emphasizes the current areas of volcanic activity. Fly over Kilauea's most recent eruption sites and follow the surface activity down to the devastated village of Kalapana. View lava flows, the Puna Forest and black-sand beaches, which were formed by lava that was cooled by water. In the course of your tour, you'll receive an informative commentary from your tour guide/pilot over an individual headset. Note: Guests 250 lbs. and over are charged an additional rate to reserve two seats for safety and comfort. These spaces are capacity controlled. You will not be able to book this option online. Secrets Of Puna

ACTIVITY LEVEL

Tours with this activity level involve a considerable amount of physical activity such as substantial walking over cobblestone streets, uneven or steep terrain, climbing stairs, or extended periods of standing. Not recommended for guests with physical limitations. Comfortable, sturdy shoes are recommended.

Drive across the black lava flows to the Puna District and Kilauea Volcano, where you'll hear stories of life in Kalapana from the former residents who witnessed the destruction. You'll walk across the lava flows which entomb the former village of Kalapana, and find the new black-sand beach of Kaimu. Enjoy a Hawaiian barbeque lunch at a private working macadamia nut and honey farm prepared by your guide. Learn what it's like to operate a macadamia nut farm sitting on the most active volcano in the world. After lunch, travel across the stark black lava flows to find where the lava met the sea in the 1960 eruption. Your next destination is Lava Tree State Park for a short walk, where in 1790 a lava flow covered the jungle and Ohia trees. Finally your guide will share a beautiful coastal lagoon, protected by a reef, and home to tropical fish and the occasional giant green sea turtle. Swim and explore the fascinating coastline here before you return to your ship. Note: Tour capacity is limited, molten lava will not be seen and order of itinerary may vary. Volcano & Rainbow Falls

Your tour begins with a scenic short drive to Wailuku River State Park and Rainbow Falls. The 80-foot falls cascade into a circular pool at the base of the Wailuku River. Your adventure continues to the Akatsuka Orchid Gardens where you'll visit one of the largest orchid collections on display in Hawaii. You'll have a chance to purchase seedling souvenirs that have already been agriculturally inspected so you can take a little bit of Hawaii home with you. Then, take an approximately 60-minute drive to Volcanoes National Park, where 70 million years of volcanic history are on display. Here, you can admire the remarkable view of Kilauea Volcano, the earth's most active volcano. Trace the birth of the Hawaiian Islands when you visit the Hawaii Volcano Observatory and the Jaggar Museum. You'll also have the opportunity to walk through the Thurston Lava Tube before a visit to Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory. Note: While at Volcanoes National Park, you won't see molten lava. Thurston Lava Tube is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven pathways and steps. An additional optional shopping stop may be provided. Mauna Kea: Pre-book And Save $10

Mauna Kea Volcano, the tallest mountain in the world, measures 32,000 feet from its base to its summit at 13,796 feet above sea level. This dormant volcano is also the most sought-after astronomical site, with 13 telescopes representing 12 countries. Mauna Kea houses the most powerful observatories and telescopes, including the Keck Twin Telescopes which have the world's largest mirrors. Your 'sea to sky' experience will start as you make your way through the historic town of Hilo northwest toward Mauna Kea. The view atop Mauna Kea can only be described as 'majestic,' with the clouds often far below you. This tour also includes a stop at the Onizuka Visitor Center. Note: Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Oxygen is carried for emergencies. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, persons suffering from respiratory disorders or heart problems. Warm parkas are provided, as the temperatures at the summit may be cold.
