How do I book shore excursions?

Once you’ve booked your cruise, click on the “Ready to pre-book your Shore Excursions” button on the right hand side of this page.

Then click on “Log In to My NCL”. Login using your username and password, or if you are a new user, create an account.

Once you’re logged in, you should see a summary of your booked cruise(s). Click the button for “Shore Excursions”. If this button is not clickable, you may need to wait until at least 60 days prior to you cruise date. Once you click through to the Shore Excursions page, you should see each port offering Shore Excursions for every day of your cruise itinerary. Click through each port city to find out more information and pre-book excursions for each guest travelling.

Dolphin Swim

ACTIVITY LEVEL

Tours with this activity level involve a considerable amount of physical activity such as substantial walking over cobblestone streets, uneven or steep terrain, climbing stairs, or extended periods of standing. Not recommended for guests with physical limitations. Comfortable, sturdy shoes are recommended.

Take a 20-minute boat ride to Unexso facility for an unforgettable dolphin experience. Once you arrive, you'll receive a complimentary "I got kissed by a dolphin" t-shirt. Then, take a 20-minute ferry boat ride along the south shore of the island over to the nine-acre Dolphin Experience Lagoon, for an interactive swim with these wonderful creatures. This lagoon is home to fourteen Atlantic bottle nose dolphins. Receive an educational briefing from the experts and gather in small groups of six participants for swimming turns. You'll have the opportunity to give the dolphins a few hand signals to which they will respond with a trained behavior for you. Swim in between them for a hug and kiss while the photographer takes photos of you. Each group will be in the water with the dolphins for approximately 20-25 minutes. During this interaction, the animal care staff will provide you with facts about these wonderful animals. While others are in the water you can take photos of the dolphins and other participants from the observation deck. After your program, take a look at several African Macaws and Cockatoos or take a dip in the 17 foot deep pool at Unexso. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, have a minimum height of 4 feet 7 inches and be able to swim. Fins are provided. Children 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. Observers are not permitted. This tour is not advised for pregnant women. Snacks, beverages and photos will be available for purchase upon your return to the facility. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

Lucayan National Park Kayak Experience

Lucayan Park encompasses 40 acres of mangrove swamps, sand dunes, broad beaches, limestone caves and a pine and palm forest. You'll kayak in a protected creek through a mangrove forest for approximately 90 minutes and venture on a guided 1/4-mile, one-hour nature walk through Lucayan National Park. Visit caves and learn about the history of the original Bahamian people. Enjoy a swim and light lunch under shelter at beautiful Gold Rock Beach. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and weigh no more than 300 lbs. Two-person kayaks are used. Please wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. Protected footwear such as tennis shoes are highly recommended, no flip-flops please. Water-safe storage bags are provided so you may bring your camera. Lunch consists of do-it-yourself deli sandwiches, fruit, cookies, lemonade and water. Bring water and sun protection. Guests have the option to visit the Caves or stay at Gold Rock Beach. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

Deserted Island Beach & Snorkel

Embark on an eco-adventure tour to Peterson's Cay National Park on board Sunshine, a 45-foot motorized catamaran. Here, you'll be briefed on safety instructions and snorkeling. Next, cruise along the shoreline to a shallow open coral reef, home to hundreds of colorful fish. You can lie right on the surface of the water and see a whole new world. After snorkeling at the reef, a short boat ride will bring you to the 1 1/2 acre island of Peterson's Cay. Here you can sunbathe, swim, relax or even enjoy more snorkeling time on the sandy beach. Then, you'll have lunch and witness a native conch cultural demonstration. Enjoy complimentary and unlimited Bahama Mama, sweetened ice tea and lemonade. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age, weigh no more than 300lbs. and in good health conditions. Guests must sign a waiver release form. Snorkel equipment is included. Wear sunscreen and bring a towel. Lunch includes unlimited Bahama Mama, ice tea, lemonade, seasonal fruits, chicken served with Johnny Cake, corn salad, chips and dessert.

Glass Bottom Boat

Enjoy a relaxing and informative tour of the beautiful reefs around the Grand Bahamas aboard the Ocean Wonder, a custom-built 60-foot double-deck glass-bottom boat that offers both sun and shade. The friendly crew will show you multi-colored sea-life and coral formations. Help 'feed the fish' and also view Cooper's Medieval castle, an island landmark. Afterwards, weather permitting, you'll travel further offshore to view Brit's wreck submerged in the waters near Treasure Reef. Before you return to the dock, enjoy a pleasant cruise along the beachfront during which, sites of interest will being pointed out. Soda, beer, bottled water and assorted chips are available for purchase aboard the boat. Tour duration includes one hour round-trip transfer time. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and in good health. Must be able to manage several steps in and out of the boat with minimal assistance.

Seaworld Explorer Semi Submarine

The transfer from your ship will take you directly to Port Lucaya, a typical Caribbean square with shopping and entertainment available. There you'll board the SeaWorld Explorer, the world's first semi-submersible, and set off for 90 minutes of under-the-sea exploration while enjoying a cruise to and from the reef on the shaded deck. This unique craft allows you to descend into the air-conditioned viewing area suspended beneath the vessel. From five feet below the surface, you can explore colorful coral reefs teaming with marine life and watch a diver feed the fish right outside your window! Bottom Reef Fishing

Relax and enjoy the sun and the sea while you try your hand at bottom fishing using the light tackle provided. Catches can include varieties of snappers and jacks, porgies, hine and triggerfish (turbot) to name a few. Not experienced? The crew will be glad to assist you. Bait, tackle and ice are included. Beer, soda, bottled water and chips can be purchased. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and in good health. Must be able to manage several steps in and out of the boat with minimal assistance.

Dolphin Close Encounter

After an approximate 30-minute bus ride from the pier to Port Lucaya, you'll arrive to world famous Unexso facility for an unforgettable dolphin experience. You'll receive a complimentary "I got kissed by a dolphin" t-shirt. Then, take an approximately 20-minute ferry boat ride along the south shore of the island over to the nine-acre Dolphin Experience Lagoon for an interaction with these wonderful creatures. Once at the lagoon, sit on the dock as the dolphins swim by your feet. You'll then take turns stepping down onto a three-foot submerged platform in waist-high water and stand face-to-face with the dolphins where you'll be able to touch, kiss and hug them. The staff will present interesting facts about the dolphins and all participants will have the opportunity to ask the animal care staff questions about these wonderful creatures. After your program take a look at several Macaws and Cockatoos or take a dip in the 17-foot-deep pool at Unexso. Note: Participants of all ages are welcomed; children 3 years of age and under are free and those 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. Guests are not permitted to wear tanning oils or excessive amounts of sunscreen. Jewelry should be removed for the safety of the dolphins. Snacks, beverages and photos will be available for purchase upon your return to the facility. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

Biking Adventure

This leisurely 13-mile bike tour takes you along the shoreline into the old settlements of Williams Town and Smith's Point. See the dolphins at their home in Sanctuary Bay and take in the local architecture and native flora. Relax with a native snack at a beachfront restaurant where you can refresh yourself in the crystal-blue waters. Finally, a bus ride takes you to colorful Port Lucaya Marketplace where you can shop before heading back to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and a minimum height of 5 feet. Two types of bikes are available: comfort cruisers and mountain bikes. Bring your swimsuit and a towel. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

Sea Safari Snorkel By Boat

This fun-filled tour begins with cruise on a spacious catamaran boat that includes a 30-foot waterslide and 30-foot rock climbing wall. On your first stop you'll have the opportunity to snorkel at a shallow coral reef where you'll see a whole new world, home to hundreds of colorful fish and coral under clear blue waters. Snorkel gear and instructions are included. Tour duration includes a one-hour round-trip transfer time. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age and able to swim. Bahamas Jeep® Safari

See the best of the vibrant Grand Bahama Island on this adventurous Jeep® tour. A short bus ride from the pier will take you to your awaiting Jeep®. Your adventure begins as you hop into your Jeep® and drive off, on the left side of the road, following British tradition. En route to your first stop you'll see Taino Beach, a popular hangout, Sanctuary Bay where the dolphins live, and a picturesque community which is a replica of the original New Plymouth homes of the early settlers. During the stop on Casuarina Bridge, your guide will inform you about Freeport's unique history and its founder, Mr. Wallace Groves. Your adventure continues with the off-road segment through Grand Bahamas' pine forest over some of the island's highest ridges. Enjoy a short hike to an inland Blue Hole and then get back in your Jeep®. Afterwards, refresh yourself with a dip in the crystal-clear waters on a beautiful beach and enjoy a native light snack. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Guests wishing to drive must be at least 25 years of age and present a valid driver's license. Four guests per Jeep®; Jeeps® have manual or automatic transmission. Swimsuit, towel, camera, sunscreen, and strap sandals or closed-toe comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Jeep® will travel on unpaved roads at times and the ride will be bumpy. This excursion is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back/neck injuries. Guests must sign a waiver release form.
